Pre-Care Instructions:
To minimize the risk of irritation and ensure optimal results:
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 1–2 weeks prior to your appointment.
Discontinue use of retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and other active or exfoliating ingredients 5–7 days before treatment.
Do not wax, use depilatory creams, or shave the treatment area for 48 hours before the peel.
Let your provider know about any history of cold sores; a prophylactic antiviral may be recommended.
Come to your appointment with clean skin—no makeup, lotion, or skincare products.
Post-Care Instructions:
Mild redness, dryness, and peeling are normal in the days following your peel. To care for your skin during this time:
Do not pick, peel, or scrub the skin—allow any flaking or shedding to occur naturally.
Use only gentle cleanser and moisturizer until the skin has fully healed.
Avoid sun exposure and use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
Refrain from using active ingredients (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C) for at least 5–7 days.
Avoid hot water, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
Do not apply makeup until the skin is calm and no longer sensitive—typically 24–48 hours.
Your skin may feel tight and dry during the peeling process. Hydration and sun protection are key to maintaining your results. Peeling may last 3–7 days depending on the depth of the peel.
