What to Expect / When to Contact Us:

Normal & Expected:

  • Mild swelling, redness, or pinpoint bumps at injection sites for 1–2 hours.

  • Minor bruising that fades within a week.

  • Gradual onset of results over 2-3 weeks.

  • Slight headache for up to 24 hours after treatment.

Contact Us If You Experience:

  • Difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing.

  • Severe headache, blurred vision, or muscle weakness.

  • Asymmetry or drooping that worsens over time.

Pre-Care Instructions:

To prepare for your neurotoxin treatment and minimize potential side effects:

  • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and other blood-thinning agents for 3–5 days prior (unless medically necessary).

  • Inform your provider of any recent illnesses, medications, or neurological conditions.

  • Do not schedule your treatment within 2 weeks of a major event (wedding, photoshoot, etc.) in case of bruising.

  • Come with a clean face—no makeup or skincare products in the treatment area.

  • Let us know if this is your first time receiving treatment or if you’ve had any past issues with neurotoxins.

Post-Care Instructions:

After your Botox or Dysport treatment, follow these steps for best results:

  • Do not rub, touch, or apply pressure to treated areas for at least 4 hours.

  • Stay upright for 4 hours after treatment.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, facials, saunas, or heat exposure for 24 hours.

  • Do not apply makeup for at least 4 hours unless approved by your provider.

  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours.

  • Results develop gradually over 3–7 days, with full effects in up to 14 days.

  • A follow-up appointment may be scheduled for touch-up or assessment.

Mild redness or bumps at the injection site may occur and typically resolve within an hour. Bruising is possible and usually fades within a few days.
