What you need to know: PDGF+
What to Expect / When to Contact Us:
Normal & Expected:
Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness for up to 7 days.
Slight puffiness or asymmetry during healing.
Gradual improvement in under-eye texture and color.
Contact Us If You Experience:
Severe swelling or pain that worsens over time.
Swelling that lasts longer than 7 days (this can occur in patients with undissolved under eye filler, and can be fixed by dissolving the area)
Signs of infection (heat, pus, spreading redness).
Changes in vision or skin color under the eyes.
Pre-Care Instructions:
To prepare for your under-eye PDGF+ treatment (similar to PRP/PRF injections):
Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and other blood thinners for 3–5 days prior (if medically safe to do so).
Let your provider know about any medical conditions, recent illness, or medications.
Refrain from scheduling within 2 weeks of major events due to possible swelling or bruising.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
Post-Care Instructions:
It is normal to experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising after injections under the eyes. To support healing:
Gently massage area injected for 5 minutes once daily for 7 days
Apply cold compresses as needed to reduce swelling (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off).
Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, and alcohol for 24 hours.
Improvements occur gradually as the PDGF+ stimulates tissue repair and collagen production. A series of treatments may be recommended for best results—your provider will guide your customized plan.
